Guarantee and aftercare

Six months covered.
Looked after for longer.

From the day you collect your watch, any film we fitted is re-fitted or replaced free of charge for six months. After that, we keep in touch.

The guarantee

What is covered.

  1. Six months from handover

It starts on the day you collect your watch or we hand it back to you: the date on your confirmation.

  2. Free re-fits and new film

If film we fitted lifts, peels, marks or wears, we re-fit or replace it free of charge.

  3. Watches and devices

The same six months covers phones, tablets, consoles, car screens, jewellery and custom pieces.

  4. Studio or home

Bring it to the studio in Hatton Garden, or we come to you. Outside London, travel may be charged as it was for the first visit.

What it does not cover

The film, not the watch.

The guarantee covers the film we fit and our work in fitting it. It does not cover the watch or device underneath, so these remain the owner’s responsibility:

  • Damage to the watch itself: knocks, dents, drops, cracked crystals or broken parts
  • Damage to a phone, tablet or other piece we have protected

Film takes the everyday scratches so the metal does not have to. It is not armour, so treat your watch with the usual care, and keep it insured.

After six months

Still looked after.

When the six months are up, a re-fit is charged at our usual price for the part of the watch that needs it.

If it is only a corner or a small piece lifting, message us first. Small repairs often cost much less, and sometimes nothing at all.

We keep in touch after the six months, to see how you and your watch are getting on. And we are always a WhatsApp message, email or call away.

The film

How long it lasts.

  1. Worn regularly

12 to 24 months, depending on how hard the watch works.

  2. Kept for occasions

Up to 36 to 48 months.

  3. When it is time

We lift the old film cleanly and fit new, so the metal underneath stays as it left the boutique.

FAQ

Questions about the guarantee.

How long does the film last?

Typically 12 to 24 months on a watch worn regularly, depending on how hard it works. On a watch kept for occasions, it can last 36 to 48 months. Re-fits are free for the first six months; after that, we quote for the part that needs it.

Is the fitting guaranteed?

Yes, for six months from the day you collect your watch or we hand it back to you. If any film we fitted lifts, peels, marks or wears in that time, we re-fit or replace it free of charge. The same applies to phones, tablets and the other pieces we protect. Read the guarantee.

Does the guarantee cover damage to my watch?

No. The guarantee covers the film we fit, not the watch or device underneath. Knocks, dents, drops, cracked crystals and broken parts remain the owner’s responsibility. Film takes the everyday scratches; it is not armour.

What happens after the six months?

A re-fit is charged at our usual price for the part of the watch that needs it. If it is only a corner or a small piece lifting, message us first: small repairs often cost much less, and sometimes nothing at all.
